Humility is the noblest Christian virtue. It is the only appropriate response to a proper understanding of the glory of God and a genuine sense of His majesty. Humility results in a deep desire to worship God, honor Him, and seek His glory. Beginning in verse 23 Paul presented four apostolic credentials that set him apart from the false teachers who opposed him: his experience of suffering, his experience of sympathy, and his experience of submission.
