Being controlled by the Holy Spirit of God allows a believer to live the victorious Christian life. This morning we want to explore the nature and character of God as it relates to love. Love is the very essence of God and therefore did not need to be created. There is no such verse as, “And God said let there be love, and there was love.” But rather Biblical love is made possible trough salvation as a person is born of God. Biblical love is impossible for an unbeliever, and is not only possible in a believer, but is commanded. I John 4:17, “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world.”
