Biography:
Mr. Hawkins has a true heart for Christian school ministry and a deep love for Faith Christian School (FCS) in particular. He is a highly qualified education administrator with a Master’s degree in Education Leadership and a Bachelor’s degree in Bible, both from Bob Jones University. He served as an FCS teacher for nine years and has seven years of management experience in secular business. He has demonstrated his love for Christ and for children through his faithful service in the youth ministries of Faith Baptist Church for many years. As a graduate of FCS (class of 1991), Mr. Hawkins has benefited personally from the excellent education provided by FCS in both Christian character and academics.
Mr. Hawkins was saved at an early age. After hearing a Sunday School lesson on Christ’s sacrifice for us on the cross, Mr. Hawkins asked his parents how he could be saved. His father was then able to lead him to Christ in their home that Sunday afternoon.
As an administrator, Mr. Hawkins desires to see the students at FCS grow in their relationship with Christ and use their talents, abilities, and training to serve the Lord in whatever area He calls them. A main focus for Mr. Hawkins is partnering with parents in the training of their children and creating a family atmosphere at FCS. Mr. Hawkins loves his staff and strives to support them in their professional development, as well as in their daily ministry at FCS.
A very special part of Mr. Hawkins’ job at FCS is that he gets to have his whole family at school with him. Mr. Hawkins met his wife, Megan, at FCS. Megan teaches first grade at FCS (where Mr. Hawkins likes to introduce her as his “favorite teacher”), and their children, Andrew and Madeleine, are FCS students.
