In this Psalm we have the prayer of a patriot. We as Christians have the responsibility to pray for and work toward revival in America. I want to tell you I make no apology whatsoever for being a red-blooded, gun-toting, flag-waving American patriot. I believe it is Biblical to be patriotic. I read once about a roving reporter who came up to a man on the street and said, “Do you know what the two biggest problems in America are?” The pedestrian said, “I don’t know and I don’t care.” The reporter said, “You have nailed them both.” If we are going to see revival in our own lives and in America, we must address these two problems. May God help us see from this text how we can experience revival.
