Conflict in the church is never been in God’s will or design. Jesus said, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as a I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” (John 13:34-35) The source of all conflict is selfishness on the part of someone. James says conflict comes “even of your lusts that war in your members.” (vs. 1) Pride is the source of all selfishness. This morning I want to look at source of conflict is when people become proud in their positions, dispositions, or oppositions. May we all remember, “God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.”
