I stated last week in the state of the church address, “Will you join me this year in making the Sunday school hour a priority in your life and in the life of your family? The Sunday school is designed, on purpose, to allow each person to learn the Bible in an age appropriate setting for children, and a life appropriate setting for adults… In 2017, as we strive to demonstrate practical faith, by living out God’s word, may we take every opportunity that God presents for us to learn and live His word in a more personal, intimate, and practical way. James 1:22 says, “But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” I am delighted to have our Sunday Superintendent preach this morning about the incredible importance of learning God’s Word.
