One writer wrote about the incredible transaction that was made by Christ on our behalf saying, “He got what we deserved, so that we could get what He deserved.” The hymn says, “His robes for mine – oh wonderful exchange!” That exchange is the continual source for our joy and purpose in this life and for eternity. It also serves as a motivation to share the good news to others around us. The gospel will become more precious as we find ways to make an exchange of our own. Invest the gospel in the lives of others. Then disciple them so they too are able to invest the gospel in even more.
