God’s greatness and the manifestation of His grace is the main subject of this chapter. The prayer of this chapter reherses the history of Israel and manifests both the goodness of God and the wickedness of man. As the Israelites worshipped the Lord, God’s purity and holiness revealed the sinfulness and selfishness of their heart. The celebration of God’s word brought conviction from God’s word that ultimately prompted the confession of their sin. I believe that true worship today will bring the same results. As we study this prayer together we want to notice that it reveals the exceeding greatness of God (vs. 1-6), the enriching goodness of God (vs. 7-30), and the enduring grace of God (vs. 31-38).
