The essence of our theology and the heartbeat of our ministry is this sentence: God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him! Therefore, whenever I see God at work in His word to provide satisfaction to my soul, I see him at work to glorify His name. To me the greatest news in all the world is that God has designed a universe in which God’s revealed character is the foundation of my infinite joy. In this passage, Paul proclaims the good news that the resurrection of Jesus satisfies our deepest needs and longings. However, in doing this, God is not putting us as the central focus, but He is putting Jesus as the center, and God who raised Him from the dead. This morning I want to look at the reasons we should rejoice in the resurrection.
