Samuel Chadwick said, “The one concern of the devil is to keep Christians from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work, or prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, mocks at our wisdom, but trembles when we pray.” Our sovereign God has ordained that our needs should be met in answer to prayer. We must grow in our maturity to move beyond simply asking God to meet our temporary needs and to help us truly be conformed to His image. Today, we want to look at the frequency, the fervency, and the focus of prayer in the maturing Christian.
