Text: Hebrews 9: 24-28
Christ’s sphere of ministry is heavenly, and thus different from, and contrasted with, that of Aaron. But in yet another important aspect is our Lord’s ministry different. When He entered into the heavenly sanctuary it was once for all, on the basis of a sacrifice that never needed to be repeated. Upon the death of Christ, God saw the penalty of sin satisfied and the righteousness of His Son available to all those who would call upon Him and receive His gift of salvation. When man dies, he too must stand in judgment. Upon his death, God will either see him robed in the righteousness of His Son or having rejected His gift of salvation, the unbeliever stands guilty before a holy God in his sin. Judgment is coming for everyone! How will God see you when you stand before Him?
