Pastor’s Bible Reading Schedule:
Genesis 31-32
Key Thought:
Jacob, although set on the right road at Bethel, still struggles with his service twenty-one years later. In earlier chapters it appeared that Jacob had acted on his own and called in God for emergencies. (Does that sound familiar?) However, we realize from our reading today that God is clearly calling the shots. Jacob invokes his Heavenly Father at least eight times in Genesis 31. I am so thankful that God is just a prayer away, and that He is always a present help in time of trouble. However, He is so much more than a “911” call. God is my wisdom, strength, fulfillment, and my life. He wants to be just as involved in my life during the good times as well as in the bad or tough times. Will you make God a vital part of your day today?
