Pastor’s Bible Reading Schedule:
Genesis 22-24
Key Thought:
These chapters are good reminders of the importance of family and the design that God has for their function. No doubt, chapter 22, teaches the importance of keeping God and His word first place. If we are going to see God bless our families, we must be willing to honor Him and obey His commands in our homes and in our personal lives. Abraham gives us a great example of honoring his wife through the trial of death, and honoring our children through the excitement of their marriages. Abraham never wanted to go back to the life he had before God’s call upon his life, and He never wanted His family to desire Mesopotamia. Abraham teaches us to lead our families in the truths and promises of God’s word. Are you being conformed to this world? Are you an example of being a stranger and pilgrim in this world… are you a transformed citizen of a new destination that God has called you to represent? Does your family dynamic reflect the call and character of God?
