Pastor’s Bible Reading Schedule:
Genesis 40-41
Key Thought:
One of the reasons we admire Joseph so much is his faithfulness. In his responsibilities he was loyal, in his duties he was diligent, in temptation he was strong, and in trials he was faithful. What a life to use as an example. It is important to remember that Joseph was not surrounded by his family, a church, or Christian friends. He did not even have a copy of the Scriptures. However, he did have the privilege of prayer and the motivation of the promises of God that had been revealed to him in his dreams and perhaps in conversations with his father. For Joseph, knowing God and his character was enough for him to be loyal in duty, strong in resisting temptation, and faithful even in unfair circumstances. How much does it take for you to quit on God? How quickly is focus shifted from God and His word to your circumstances and trials? How faithful are you? May we learn to emulate the faithfulness of Joseph.
