Genesis 25-26; 1 Chronicles 1:32-34;
Saturday: Genesis 27-28; 1 Chronicles 1:35-54
Sunday: Genesis 29-30
Key Thought:
In every good plot, there is a battle between right and wrong, the good guy and the evil guy. The story of Jacob and Esau seems to create an amazing plot and certainly makes for some interesting reading. It reminds us of our flesh and the Spirit and the battle that takes place each and every day. We would all agree that we want the “good guy” to win in every situation. Let me ask you, “Are you just as committed to seeing the “good guy” win as you battle for morality every day? May we remember that God has a wonderful plan for our lives. Plans that are good and not evil and that have an amazing future. Will you trust Him today as you battle for righteousness in your own mind, body, and soul? Will you take a moment to ask God to help you live victorious today over your flesh?
Prayer Requests:
Personal
- Lord, please help me to feed the Spirit of God as I battle for righteousness today.
- Lord, please help me to starve my flesh as I seek to live holy in this present world today.
- Lord, please help me to live so you can hear my prayers and bless my family like you did Isaacs.
