Pastor’s Bible Reading Schedule:
Leviticus 22-23
Key Thought:
Henry Ward Beecher said, “Religion means work; it means hard work; it means work in a dirty world. The world has to be cleaned by somebody and you are not really called of God unless you are prepared to scour and scrub.” Having lived on a farm most of my life, we would say, “Put on your overalls and do some work!
This quote may represent the very heart of everything we have learned in this morning’s reading. In Christ, we are all servants as we learned yesterday in the morning service. We are servants, serving our Savior, in a dirty world. Where are you investing your life? Who is it that you are currently investing your life? Whose life can you touch today with the truth God has given to you? God has placed us strategically in the wilderness of this dirty world to reveal His character to people who need hope and forgiveness and cleansing. It’s time to put on our overalls and get to work!
