Pastor’s Bible Reading Schedule:
Psalm 105-106
Psalm 105:4-7
4 Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
6 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
7 He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
We have a command from God to proclaim His mighty works among our personal clan, the public community, and to precious Christians. We are to rehearse all of His wonderful works. I fear that we talk about a lot of things, but we do not talk much about the things God has done, is doing, and has promised to do. We get caught up talking about life with its trials, triumphs, entertainments, and opportunities. We just forget to talk about the part God has played and is playing in all of them. We fear people may think we are just trying to be “holier than thou.”
We need to not simply rehearse God’s amazing works, but we must talk about his decisions. What He has said in His word. What God thinks about a situation or circumstance. We need to add to our conversations what God has declared in principle and how that applies to each decision we make and why.
As we look around and see God on display everywhere, we must make much of His attributes. Those things that make Him God. When we have a right view of God, it helps us to not think more highly of ourselves than we ought to think. May God allow us to talk much about Him today.
