Pastor’s Bible Reading Schedule:
Nehemiah 8-9; Psalm 148
Psalm 148:9-14
9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:
10 Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:
11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:
12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:
13 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.
14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD.
The Psalmist is clear that everyone should praise the Lord. Whether we are young or old, married or single, in leadership or lay people: we must praise the Lord. All that are in the heavens: the sun, stars, and the moon praise the Lord. All that are on the earth: the mountains, the trees, the animals, and the birds of the air all must praise the Lord. “Let the heavens declare the glory of the Lord and the earth showeth His handiwork.” While all of heaven and earth praise the Lord, are you? Do you have time to praise the Lord? Do make praising the Lord a priority? Do you have a heart full of gratitude? Are you growing in your love for God each day? Have you stagnated in your spiritual life? Psalm 148 is a great reminder that all God’s saints are to praise the Lord.
