Pastor’s Bible Reading Schedule:
Genesis 16-18
Key Thought:
God sometimes seems to us humans to be slow in fulfilling His promises. We often forget that a day with the Lord is as a thousand years and a thousand years is but a day. This causes us to be tempted to implement our own plans, which inevitably leads to trouble. In these chapters Abraham feels threatened and also fears for his loved ones and so he leans on his own understanding. Most believers go through experiences like these at one time or another; however, we must trust the Lord and not ourselves. May God forgive us of our ego trips that takes ownership of that which is not ours, and liberties that lead contrary to the will of God.
