Pastor’s Bible Reading Schedule:
Zechariah 1-6
Zechariah 2:4-6
4 And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein:
5 For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.
6 Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD.
God makes it very clear through the prophesy of Zechariah that He will be the protection and provision for His people. God promised to be a wall of fire… a protection and that He alone will be her glory. He will be all that they need and His program will be on full display as He meets every need that they have.
The same promise has been made to us as God’s children. He promised to “never leave us nor forsake us.” (Hebrews 13:5) God has promised to provide to supply all our need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19) We are in an amazing place with our God. He promises to meet our every need and to go through every circumstance with us throughout life. We are never alone in Christ. We are constantly being watched and cared for each and every day. We have a wonderful Heavenly Father, who loves us unconditionally, and cares for us continually. As was the case with Zechariah, we have a wonderful hope… the genius of God in eternity!
